We cannot perform microblading if any of the following apply to you:

  • Pregnant or nursing
  • Under age 18
  • Undergoing chemotherapy
  • Prone to keloid scarring
  • Prone to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation
  • Viral infections or diseases – includes shingles & pink eye
  • Transmittable blood disease in active stages (Hepatitis, etc)
  • Auto immune disorders (lupus, frontal fibrosing alopecia, etc)
  • History of MRSA
  • Hemophilia/bleeding disorder
  • Other healing disorders
  • Pacemaker or major heart problems
  • Organ transplant recipient

Please check with the technician before booking an appointment for microblading if any of the following apply to you:

  • Taking blood thinning medicines (coumadin, warfarin, aspirin, ibuprofen, advil, aleve, naproxen, fish oil, vitamin E, etc)
  • Using steroids (prednisone and other corticosteroids, budesonide, fluticasone, mometasone, etc)
  • Allergies to topical anesthetics, makeup, or iron oxide
  • Skin irritations including sunburn, rash, rosacea, eczema, acne, or psoriasis near the procedure area
  • Scarring, moles, or irregular skin in the procedure area
  • Excessively oily skin
  • Very large pores on the forehead
  • Sick with cold, flu, or sinus/respiratory infection (please reschedule any existing appointment and stay home to recover)
  • Juvederm or other fillers around the cheeks/forehead – get microblading first or requires juvederm tech clearance
  • Accutane/Retin A – wait 12 months
  • Eyelift or blepharoplasty – wait 3 months
  • Lash/brow growth serums – wait 3 months
  • Diabetes – requires doctor clearance
  • Epilepsy – requires doctor clearance
